Faith Sharing

A time of friendship and sharing in a very informal setting

  • Time: 6pm
  • Day: Third Sunday of each month (except January)
  • Place: Coffee Lounge, Blackwood Uniting Church

Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

Senator Robert F. Kennedy, June 6 1966 (South Africa address)

We usually meet in the coffee lounge located just off the car parking area. After a simple meal of soup and rolls together, we listen to two people sharing stories of their faith journeys for about 15-20 minutes, followed by questions – some people give a brief history of their life journey and others share an aspect of their faith journey. It’s very moving to hear where people have been in their life’s journey and some of the joys and difficulties they have known using Jesus as their model for living. We try to ensure that those sharing their stories feel they are in a safe place with people offering their love and support wherever their journey may have taken them.

It would be great if you could join the group some time. If you would like to know more, please contact David Agnew or Ian Penny.
